30% from the entrance fee to Bunaken NP is allocate for the 30 villages inside the park
Direct benefit for the villagers:
Every year, communities who lives in the 30 villages inside the park receive direct funds 30% from the entrance fee being collected. This accumulate to about US$30,000 so each village receive $1,000.
The distribution mechanism is thorough proposal making from each village and the fund is being used to various village’s need includes infrastructures (roads, fresh water, school renovation, etc)
